Bless my local saab mechanic, he had recommended the slave cylinder since the clutch master was the last to be replaced. He suggested that the vibration I felt while resting my foot on the clutch pedal was actually the throw out bearing pulsing due to being slightly out of round, so it would be impossible to tell if master or slave had failed. After I had been driving like this for a month or so, he replaced the slave and now all is great.
Upon inspection, the large o-ring oil seal on the slave was much bigger than the groove that it fit. I can't believe it expanded that much since all the other rubber seals were still a good fit.
The bad slave turned out to be a Lockheed unit. The new one is saab OEM from Pro-Parts... Yikes.
I keep believing in Tinkerbell, and her magic continues to sparkle. The last month or so has been filled with pixie dust.
Thank you for your comments.
