1989 900 non-turbo. Replaced left rear caliper with a loaded rebuild. It leaks at the parking brake lever. I bought it last year, so it's not returnable. I've been putting up with it for a few weeks. Figured I'd get around to it again after dealing with a few other problems. Well... The leak got much worse, and it looks like a good load of my fluid ran out over the last two days. There's a big pool around the left rear tire and the front part of the fluid reservoir was empty! I filled it up, but I have NO BRAKES! The pedal goes all the way to the floor. How is this possible? I thought the car had two circuits.
I've read about situations where the master cylinder goes dry and needs to be reprimed. Considering the fight I had to get the brake line off the old caliper to change it, I'm terrified I might have to remove the lines from the master.
Judging from the fact the left rear drew all my fluid out via gravity, and the front part of the reservoir was empty, which wheels would you think I needed to bleed, and in which order?
Thanks!
Paul
