I own a 1987 Saab 900 turbo convertible, My issue is that the automatic transmission will only shift from Park to drive to neutral. I recall when this occurred I had come to a coasting stop and accidentally hit the gear shift into park. I am wondering if it is possible that I bent something internally in the transmission or if I possibly stretched the shift linkage. The car has a 2.0 turbo injected motor with the transmission directly under the motor, and of course it is front wheel drive. I would like to listen to any advice I could get to resolve my shift issue.
