Same here. Twice.
Last time I did this - maybe six months ago - I went in for the Powerflex version to replace the rubber I had been running for a decade. The alternator was being replaced, and I just didn't wanna put old ones back in.
It's possible that they changed the formulation over the years. After fishing crumbled bushings out of the engine twice, I stopped trying. That was probably around 2005!
