I bought a "engine compartment cleaner and protector" from autogeek.net that I am happy with. It does a good job cleaning LIGHT dirt and leaving behind a natural looking finish that seems to last. It is neither shiny nor matte, and does not seem to attract dust. Unfortunately, I don't remember the brand. But, I guarantee if you head over to autogeek and look up engine cleaner, you will find a high quality product with good reviews that will work.
That said, don't expect too much durability in the c900's engine bay. Aerodynamics aren't on your side in there, and it'll probably get dirty again quickly. They just dont benefit from the same effective aero that newer cars do.
