On my various 900s, I've found two electrical things besides the AIC valve that can cause high idle:
- Check the wires in the connector to the AIC valve. I had one break, leading to the AIC staying in one position, causing a high idle condition.
- Check the continuity on the outer-to-inner pins of the throttle position sensor. I forget which pair of pins, 1-2 or 2-3, indicate that the throttle is closed to the ECU. If the ECU doesn't see that the throttle is closed, it'll raise the idle. The cure for this is either replacing or adjusting the throttle position sensor.
And, of course, vacuum leaks might also cause a high idle. Check all of rubber bushings that hold vacuum nipples to the intake manifold. If any of the nipples pull out easily, replace its bushing.
