thanks! will try something similar--- where did you mount the resistors, and did they require their own heat sink?
I was able to easily locate & fix the breaks in the seat bottom as they occurred where past posters have described, where the wire goes underneath the seat hoop listing wire on each side. But finding the breaks in the seat back are proving to be much harder. Complete replacement wire kits come up on ebay from time to time, but nothing is out there at present.
