Hello,
I don't think it is a real issue. I believe the big change was how wide the piece of the dashboard between the center vent and the top of the dash. On the early the space there is I am thinking 10mm and on the later dash it is probably 20mm. But the fascia fits the same. It is more like the width of the frame around the fascia that is different. I have installed early in late cars and late in early cars before and can't remember any issues with fitment. Good Luck, Bernie
