10 volts... Posted by Goblin [Email] (#2224) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Goblin) on Mon, 10 Oct 2022 15:52:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've only got 10 volts back at the fuel pump when turning the key over. As I continue to hold the key and the starter turns the engine over it never gets any higher than 10 volts. 1985 Saab 900 SPG. I'm done playing with it today I'll hook up 12 volts directly to it off of a jump box tomorrow but I'm pretty sure the fuel pump is dead. When I turn the key on but no starter I hear a relay in the passenger foot well and a relay under the seat I'm assuming that should tell the fuel pump to turn on? I know the 85 electrical system is a little different than 87 and 88 if I'm not mistaken. This car has been setting for probably 20 years. Probably six or seven years ago this fuel pump did work and we heard the motor run I'm going to assume that has died now since it's been sitting for the last six or seven years. What would make me not get 12 volts back at the fuel pump with the key and starter engaged.
