I helped a friend with the same situation: no key to get an automatic transmission car into neutral.
We removed the center console and got into the shifter mechanism. There's a pawl with a finger that locks the shift lever into park position. Fortunately, my friend had a Dremel with a diamond wheel in his toolkit and was able to cut that piece and move the shifter.
We were standing on the top of a car carrier when we were doing this.
It's been a few years, so memory is a little fuzzy as is the photo that I just lifted from an image search. The photo below shows the piece that I seem to remember cutting to be able to free the shift lever.
