Hello, making slow progress with this 1983 Saab 900. Had to remove the entire manual gear stick assembly to get to the key barrel which is now off with the locksmith to be cut.
The car is still locked in reverse and I'm unable to move this at all, even with the entire key lock mechanism removed. Suspect the primary issue is that the clutch is firmly against the floor...so suspect there is no hydraulic pressure. As a consequence the brake peddle doesn't depress either and the two are interconnected.
Any pointers on where I should start in order to evaluate the condition of the clutch assembly while I wait for the key?
