No idea about a ECU failure from a bad APC but those boxes are pretty tightly sealed. The car will run at base boost with it removed. Suggest you remove it, take the case off and let the inside dry out if it is indeed wet. You could even rinse it out with distilled water if in doubt and let it thoroughly dry. There are also plenty of used -599 APC’s available and a few -127 and -427’s on the market if it is inop. Curious about how it got very wet but afraid to ask…
