98 900 Turbo gas tank issues Posted by DDJ [Email] (#3297) [Profile/Gallery] (more from DDJ) on Tue, 27 Jun 2023 09:02:44 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi everyone,
I have a 98 900 Turbo SE Convertible that has had intermittent issues with fuel. Sometimes it starts and runs but eventually stops. I had the pump replaced and the people that did the work did a poor job, so I took it on myself. When I dropped the tank, one of the breather hose fittings (hard plastic) snapped. It is connected to some sort of cylinder within the tank, also plastic. It seems to be threaded, but I can't budge it. There is another breather connection on the other side of the pump opening.
I don't know what this connector is, or how to remove it, and not knowing what it is, don't know what I'm looking to replace.
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
