People ask me, oh saab, must be so hard to get parts? Right? I tell them, hell no! I buy my engine parts from a guy in the midwest that sells parts for Skidsteers! "What?" they say. I say, yeah, my '68 has a V4 from Ford! and some guy sells the parts!!
I took a gamble on that one and it's been just fine.... that IAC is in a bunch of cars also the mid 80's Jettas that run... some form of Bosch ECU systems (Jetronic?).
That's one great thing that will keep saab 900's on the road for a long time, off the shelf parts from Bosch and others.
Sometime I will finally frankenstein a distributor from another Bosch distributor from that era... yes you can do it. People always complain about the trigger plug breaking, but it's just a 3 pinout that's real easy to swap out for others.
Those APC boost signal senders under the dash were used in Maserati and also I have a hot bet that a porsche 944 dash boost gauge would also work....
it goes on and on
