My front drivers side window switch is bad. Checked out motor and fuses. Have a spare that sometimes works. I have read here that capacitors on the board fail, and that apparently what has happened considering I can manually connect the window motor to 12 volts and it works fine.
The second spare switch block works sometimes and I’m guessing it’s because the caps can sometimes hold a charge.
Two questions:
1) Do the two electrolytic capacitors control one side each, front right and front left? And the drivers side fails because that’s the one most commonly energized?
2) Can someone give me the pin spacing and specs for the caps? I’d like to order Supra spec caps Digikey so that this never happens again.
What a gawd awful job tearing out window motors just to find it’s the caps.
Thanks
Marko
