Clutch/brake pedal fix

I had this problem on my 84T and the shop drilled out the egg-shaped hole and pressed in a bushing fabricated allegedly from a piece of rear shock lower bushing (I would have thought the rear shock bushing was too large a dia. but waddoIknow!), then they used the std replacement pin. The bushing had about twice the bearing area as the clutch pedal since it was longer than the pedal was thick and seemed to fit the yoke much tighter.
I think replacing the std dia pin with a larger diameter pin to fit a larger hole in the brake/clutch pedal requires drilling a matching larger hole in the yoke (U-shaped bit from the clutch or brake m/c). If you go too large, the yoke is then weakened.
OTOH, a clutch engaging two inches from the floor could just be a bad slave or leaking master cylinder.
