First off finally did as others have and sat on a stool in the garage with the SAAB and looked at all the vacum hoses found a couple iffy's so I'm replacing and then redoing connections with silicone.
Secondly upon doing this I think I have a charcoal filter problem, as I smell heavy fumes of gas in car as it has sat for three days, and as the idle is searching vacum lines are a issue at this point. WHere is this located to check it out? Is it buy the res. fuel pump? ALso have already replaced the gas cap so that is ruled out as well.
NExt up on the vacum line issue I've come across to valve that on one side have no vacum line and surely they must need one. One is off of the cruise control module behind the driver side light. Obviously cruise doesn't work. But can't find what this hose does or where it should go to in my manuel.
Second one is off of a fitting on the rear left of the intake manifold. I have a line coming from the brake booster and one going to I want to say the Fuel Pressure valve but has a fitting but then on the third prong nothing. I know this is confusing.
If need be I can take pictures of the area in ?........
So pretty much I need first off to know where the charcoal filter is..:)
Thanks guys,
Michael
