My mechanic just drilled a hole through the A arm where the stud was
and he welded a bolt in to creat a new stud. He said welding it decreased
the risk of it shearing off and claimed it was stronger than the original
stud because it was welded on both sides. It's been two years and it's
still holding.[Shocks are just bolted on, on other cars. Even gas charged
shocks.]
