I got whacked the same way several years ago in an 86 900T. It cost $1300 to fix and the car never felt the same again. (to me). Is your fender well above the back wheel buckled outward/with a sharp kink? and did it affect how your doors close? As in too tight? Also dont dismiss the engine mounts and damage to the exhaust system, I missed that and had to pay later on my own. The woman who hit my car had a Ford T-Bird and they totaled it. ( the front end looked like she drove it into a meatgrinder) and yet my trusty 86 Saab hardly looked as if it had been hit. It took a closer look after settling down ( the impact greatly shook me up) to see alll the subtle damage. It speaks well for Saabs that they can and do absorb impacts like this and let us walk away.
