give the headlight relay a tap or sharp rap with a screwdriver handle (one in the tool kit under the rear deck near the spare tire). If headlight goes to low (you may have to cycle the stalk switch if it's really on 'high' and not stuck) the problem is worn/stuck headlight relay.
relay is under hood in fuse box on lhs.
