Your idea about nylon anti-roll bar bushes is rather interesting. Any more road noise or harshness?

I have fitted the SuperFlex rear bushes. They come without housings. I had replaced the original bushes with new rubber ones, so I had the old ones to play with. I burned out the old rubber with a blowlamp - this is quite easy as the rubber catches fire and burns out on its own. I tried cutting the rubber out of one of them and gave up. I suspect it is nearly impossible.

I cleaned up the housings by scrubbing with water and detergent.

To fit the poly bushes to the housings, I used a medium-sized vice. I didn't need a press. The only thing I needed to do was to stop the bush from slipping sideways as I tightened the vice. It didn't go in straight - one side went all the way in, then the other side followed, but that seemed to work fine. Lubricant is included with the bushes.

The problem you have sounds like it might be related to wheel alignment, and the bushes can affect alignment, as they allow the suspension arms to move around when they are worn. The way to check the bushes is to place a lever behind the suspension arm and lever it away from the subframe. If it moves "too much" at the rear, then the bushes are worn. However, you need to know how much is "too much" and I can't help you there. My SuperFlex bushes hardly move at all.

I ordered my bushes by phone, but I live in England and English is my native language. Others here have contacted them from the US, and found that the "7000" non-geographical area code is difficult to reach from overseas. If you phone, use +44 1749 678152.
The same goes for the fax number, and the geographical number isn't on their web site. However, I rang them just now to ask and the number to fax from overseas is +44 1749 671404.

People in the US don't seem to have had any problems, so I would think that Italy should be OK too. I don't know if anyone has tried COD, but I had no problem with ordering by credit card.
