A Mityvac is one of a series of hand-power vacuum pumps. They come with an assortment of hoses and fittings. The cost is $35 and up, depending on the kit.
You can use it to flush a brake line, for example, by sucking the fluid out of the bleeder fitting with the mityvac while replenishing the reservoir. You can also use it to pressure bleed - pressuize the brake fluid reservoir and let the old fluid out of the bleeder.
A mityvac has a 1001 uses, more if you're in the Adult Film industry. So far, I've never bought one - I squeak by with pressure bleeders cobbled up out of old garden sprayers.
