I have browsed the threads here on winter tires and have gained some valuable information. Here's my situation. I have a '97 9000CSE. I live in urban Southern Ontario. The temperature is often below freezing here in winter but there are really only a handful of times per year when there is actually snow on the roads for more than a day or so. Basically, the only driving I do is to work and back within the city. I have Michelin Pilot MXM HX on the rear and Toyo Proxes FZ4 on the front (all with much tread remaining). Is this tire setup acceptable for year-round use considering my driving circumstances? Do I need winter tires? If so, should I acquire a 2nd set of rims for them or switch back and forth on the stock rims? I'm sure I sound like a dummy here but I just want to do what's right.
Thanks,
Mark
