The 9000 turbo and nonturbo are a world apart! I have heard that the motors breath much diferently. But, what I KNOW is that the running gear for a nonturbo would be eaten alive by a turbo motor. The automatic nonturbo has less clutches than the turbo. Everything from the tranny to the wheels is MUCH less beefy on a nonturbo. (The 5 spd are the same turbo vs non, but that is about it.) I know all of this because I have held all of these parts in my hands. Turbo drive train parts feel about twice as heavy. If you do not beleive me, compare the turbo vs nonturbo splined tube that joins the left and right axles. The nonturbo is about 3lbs/1.5"diam. and the turbo is about 8lbs/2.5"diam..
