So I wrecked my 91 9000 T hatchback about a month ago, and with the help of a 88 parts car and Todd at eeuroparts I got it back on the road today. I noticed that it now makes this noise when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear. It's kind of like how an airplane sounds when it's tires hit the runway on a landing, but not as loud of course. Does this mean that my tranny is going? It was fine before the accident (front end damage).

My parts car has a manual, but as I said, it's an '88. Is there any way that if my tranny does go that I could put the manual from the '88 in? I heard that the tranny's mounting bolts aren't in the same place. Would it be possible to manufacture a plate to make this work?
