I really can't see what could be wrong. Since almost one year now I'm having boost problems with my 94 AERO. I changed almost everything or tried to swap elements with known good ones. The result is always the same : to much boost or not enough !!
Yesterday I noticed something new (to me).
After having checked base boost for the ??? time, I went for my adaptation run # ????. I always use the same highway, late at night when there is no traffic. I start in 5th gear at 2000 rpm. As the BPC valve was disconnected during the base boost session, the ECU starts at high boost level quite early. I can see the needle climb and go into the red just up to fuel cut-off even before 3000rpm. Boost comes back then at much lower level and no further cut-off happens. I can reproduce this situation as often as I want : the first adaptation after disconnecting BPC or ECU always ends up with a cut-off !! In normal use I don't get enough boost for an AERO but sometimes, when I suddenly floor it or just after changing gear after higher rpm, I get Fuel cut-off again !!?? I always can produce cut-off by flooring, lifting and flooring again. So whats wrong here ?? I'm almost convinced now that my low boost level is the consequence of maximum negative adaptation due to the repeated fuel cut-offs. But I checked everything a dozen times (BPC hoses, wastegate actuator, diaphragm, wastegate...)I tried 3 different MAP sensors, BPC valves, DI cassettes, gapped the plugs in a range from 1,1 down to 0,7 mm etc....I didn't try a different ECU because I just can't find one !!! So if anybody has a clue ......PLEASE TELL ME!!
I just can't find no sleep anymore.
