I appear to need a complete exhaust replacement on my '94 CSE non-turbo. The only good pipe left is the cat converter. The flex pipe is cracked just after the flex section and the shop (Monroe - I know, I'll get a second opinion at a good shop) sait it can't be welded, yet then can weld in a new flex section for $125. Of course, I can get a new header-through-flex pipe (one piece on a '94 non-turbo) for $100 mailorder. The muffler is totally shot, with a big hole in it. There is also a big hole in the pipe just before it goes into the muffler. The cat back section has been replaced within the past couple of years by the p.o. - I'll check as to where and when and if there's any warranty.

In any event, anyone done a complete exhaust replacement themselves? I am game, even though I know how tough most of those nuts are going to be. Any recommendations on systems? I don't mind paying a few extra bucks for a decent system that'll last, but I am not looking for power gains or anything like that, I just want it quiet.
