I am always amazed by the relatively closed minds on this BB regarding the 3.0l V6. I've owned and repaired 6 Saabs since my first 99EMS in 1974, and every model had its own idiosyncrasies and faulures we hated to fix. The Vauxhall V6 isn't a "Saab" I4, but my '95 9000CDE is as sweet and reliable car as any I've owned. The V6 is a great interstate cruiser, and gets 29-30 mpg doing it. The belt is a problem and shouldn't be run more than 30-35k, mainly due to the tensioner, but its a manageable problem and a fair trade for this kind of smooth power in a non-turbo.
If the car has these kind of detailed dealer service records and a relatively new tranny, I think its a great buy at $4k.
