written down in a book from different 9K 91-94 with 2 speed cooling fan.
What you are seeing is the difference between the coolant sensor reading mounted between 2-3 intake runner ( ISAT uses ECT sensor ) and the tempgauge sensor mounted in front of thermostat housing, and the fan switch located at the coolest possible place in radiator.
Saab made a bobo with the 9K fanswitch location and didn't correct it until 95 when fanswitch was integrated with tempsending unit in thermostathousing. Thermostat housing is the hottest place in system.
A reading on ISAT of 100-105C is normal when low speed fan kicks in(tempgauge at 3/4 of gauge), and a reading of 115-125C on ISAT is normal when highspeed kicks in ( temp gauge at redline)
If you take the car for a spin and accelerate full throttle for a long time the inlet airtemp will go down to maybe 35-40C, but idleing in the shop it's usually 50-80C (because of enginecompartment heat)
Voltage reading is only different sampling places between ISAT and Volt gauge.
I have never been able to get lower than around 12 and higher than 85-90 on a non TCS.
I have a 93 TCS in right now and hooked up the Tech2, reading starts at 14,5% and goes up to 94% at full throttle.
Sorry for blowing your theory.
