The two white wires are for the heater
The BLACK wire is the SIGNAL
The Grey wire is GROUND.
One wire (no heater) and three wire (heated) O2 sensors use the body of the sensor as ground, making the assumption that the exhaust manifold that the sensor is attached to is at ground (chassis). This isn't true in some cars, so some universal units have an additional ground wire (grey). There are also ISOLATED 02 sensors, where the signal return is isolated electrically from the body of the sensor.
In your case, make sure you run the grey wire to a good electrical ground.
