Working around airplanes in cold weather, we wash them with warm water to avoid ice. I found that the water source was ideal for testing radiators. I hooked up the hose from the "wash rack" (1 and 1/2 inch pipe) water heater to the radiator and let it flow. place a hand on the radiator and if its uniformly warm the radiator is working good. If there is a spot that does not get warm, the tubes are clogged! This can be done at home if you are willing to pay for the hot water, just that it will take a liittle longer for the hose from the bathtub to flow through the radiator, and your significant other has to be real understsanding.
