I've always been plagued by a vibration on my Aero which no amount of wheel balancing could eliminate, so I've just accepted it as part of the "character" of the car. Its noticeable through the steering wheel and seat of the pants, ie appears to be coming from front and rear.
However, last night I noticed that it disappeared completely on a really smooth piece of new tarmac, only to re-appear when I hit a sample of Norfolks usual lumpy blacktop.
This got me thinking about why this should be and what could be causing it - presumably not wheel balance since that would be present at all times.
Is there any other part of the suspension which could be the culprit - a worn drop link perhaps or could it be that my shocks are tired after 80k and not damping initial wheel vibration?
I've got Abbott springs and suspension bushes if that's relevant.
Any thoughts or solutions would be much appreciated.
