Yes, the connectors are hanging loose behind the in-dash tuner, as well as behind the cloth in the trunk/hatch near the antenna. I think you will have to get another cable, however, to hook up the in-dash cd player to the tuner once you hook up the cd changer. Call Saab to find out.
As for mounting the changer, there might be holes pre-drilled in the trunk/hatch on the floor of the area just below where the antenna is. These holes are for mounting a Saab oem changer. If you buy direct from Clarion (CDC635), you will have to drill your own holes. The changer is mounted vertically.
I mounted one in my '96 900, and actually punched small holes in the cloth on the wall of the hatch near the antenna area. Then, while still having the changer stand up vertically, you mount the brackets to the side wall and then to the changer. This cloth is very sturdy, and has held the changer in place without a problem. I also placed some foam (ie.: carpet underlayment) underneath the changer to help absorb any vibrations.
My '98 9K came with the changer already installed, and it has the brackets mounted to the floor of the cargo area, with the changer in the vertical position.
Good luck!
