Here's spec on the stock wheels for that car:
15 x 6, offset +33MM (also called ET).
Now, you want to add 2" to the width of the wheels?? My experience with my '87 9000, is that even 15 x 7 wheels rub in the rear on the suspension trailing arm. My car requires 3mm thick spacers for those wheels to clear the suspension. An 18 x 8 wheel, assuming the same offset as my 15 x 7 wheel, would require a 28mm spacer, bad news. So, you can get it to clear if you reduce the offset significantly. With your 18 x 8, I would say an offset no higher than 15mm, possibly less. A good rule of thumb is that for every increase in wheel width, you must reduce the offset by half of the increase in width, to maintain the same clearances. So, a 2" increase in wheel width would require a 1" decrease in offset, or 25.4mm. Starting with your 15 x 6 +33mm, you'd now need a 18 x 8 +8mm roughly. Now that's to maintain the same clearance. As you can see in my car, you can reduce the clearance a bit and still be ok, and I suspect regardless of wheel width, the closer you keep the offset to stock, the better things will be.
