It may be designed to be self adjusting to a point,.however some have mentioned on this site that there are "slider pins" that allow for the resetting of the pads, and these can become gunked up causing the Ebrake to not function properly. I just re-adjusted mine yesterday, I may need some work regarding the slider pins but I didnt want to get involved with that, no time right now. Its a 15 min job ,support the rear with jackstands so both wheels clear the ground. Where the Ebrake cable enters the caliper you will find a 14 mm bolthead. Remove that, inside is an Allen bolt, turn until you get some resistance, both sides. Try the Ebrake , you should have holding power now. Replace 14mm bolt.
