I want to buy the Bridgestone S-03s for my 91 9KT. Driving in the Midwest, this decision would suggest biting the bullet for a set of snows too. Since I don't do all that much winter driving, however, and since winters here are entirely unpredictable in terms of snowfall, just maybe I can get by with the good performance rating on Pirelli P7000s which at least have some utility in light snow (as opposed to the S-03s which have none - in fact may be dangerous). Problem is, the customer surveys at Tirerack almost uniformly complain of really excessive noise on the Pirellis after a few thousand miles. Pirelli used to be OEM for my car(I think?)so maybe the car and the tire have a nice fit together and I should discount the noise complaints made by owners of other makes of cars (though I'm reluctant b/c the complaints are near unanimous. Has anyone here used the Pirellis on a 9K and can you comment on this noise problem or lend any other sound advice? Thanks in advance.
