agreed with the earlier posting, any pinstriping was at the dealer or owner level. If it were me, I'd try 'color sanding' it, but you run the risk of breaking thru the clear coat. If you're feeling lucky, grab some 1200 grit sanding paper and a small flexible sanding block. do NOT try and just sand with folded up sandpaper unless you think finger grooves in paint look good. A bucket of water close by and a towel or sponge are used to keep a steady trickle of water over the area you are sanding. This keeps the area you are sanding and your paper clean. I haven't tried removing painted pin stripes on clear coated paint, but I would imagine it's preeeeeety risky. Try sanding with an up and down motion. Keep in mind when you're color sanding, you're not really applying pressure, just moving the paper back and forth...BTW, color sanding is always done on better paint jobs, gives you the that super flat 'wet' look.

Once you're done with the 1200 grit, finish with 1400-1500 grit LIGHTLY. Either a buffing by hand or machine polish will finish you off.

You can try just using rubbing compound, although I think your forearms might be remiscent of Popeye by the time you're finished...good luck!
