I don't do it with mine. But as long as you're not running full boost,
then it wont hurt anything. You'll notice a decrease in performance
running lower octane. I'm not sure why Saab says to use only
92 or better (US octane) because the APC will cut back the boost
if it detects knocking, anyway. Just remember, if you run low octane,
don't go crazy and start doing long uphill runs with the pedal to the
metal. I always use 94 octane (US) Sunoco in mine because one
never knows when a Bimmer or some other $50k vehicle needs to
humbled by a 10 year old Saab!
