Scratched Front Spoiler '96 CS

The front spoiler on my 9000 CS has (had) a numer of minor scratches from running into/over parking curbs. I have been able to remove them using fine emery paper. Unforunately, in the process I have lost the shiny finish off the spoiler in these areas. Does anyone have any idea how I can get the finish back without sending it to a body shop?
Thanks.
