Plug gap once more

-94 2,3 FPT with Chipcenter stage 1 ECU. I saw Dr Boosts reply (to Alain) stating to stick to the 1,10 mm plug gap.
Could someone please explain how the plug gap affects the knock sensing feature in the Teionic control.
I understand that with increased boost levels the sparks need more energy to jump across so the load on the DI coils could be a bit more than running with standard boost.
That's why I've run with both 0,9 mm and 1,0 mm, but not at the outer limit 1,10 mm.
If I adjusted the plug gaps to 1,10 mm, how would the knock sensing be changed? Would the system detect pre-knock at an earlier stage or at a latter stage?
Ari? Dr Boost?
Thanks,
Tapani
