A quick backround:
-Install 3" turbo back(JT downpipe, carsound cat, magnaflow muffler) same setup as Zeke, tested and proven
-Install TAQ ECU get CEL within 2 minutes.
-reintsall stock ECU get CEL after an hour, happened 4 times after reseting it, fairly consistent length of time
-pull code on stock ECU with Autozone generic code puller (Oxygen sensor malfunction, bank one, sensor one)
So today I reinstall TAQ ecu pull code with same generic code puller, no code comes up on the puller but the CEL flashes 8 flashes just as described on the Townsend site! I don't know about anyone else but I've never gotten my stock ecu to flash codes. I thought this was a '93 feature only and now the car is flashing codes with the tuned ECU. This TAQ ECU was run in a 97 aero in sweden and should work fine and I guess I'll just accept that it is acting different but correctly.
So I'm thinking the stock ecu isn't picking up the EVAP failure, but after driving for a while there is a vacume leak and the o2 mixture is off. The car runs great by the way, every once in a while the idle is slow to keep up with auxillary demands. Does anyone have more information about the evap valve and how to trouble shoot why it's bad?
Sorry for the confussion, I've been working on this for the past two weeks. Thanks.
