SD = Swedish Dynamic's in CT (USA).

I'm looking to get a re-mapped ECU, and SD has them for $895. You mentioned overseas in Sweden for under $700 (speedparts, maptun). Am I getting basically the same thing from any of these places, or is one better than the other? SD says they send the ECU to Sweden to be re-mapped, so I'm questioning the price increase. BUT--since I live 30 minutes from SD, wouldn't it be better to deal with a shop that's close-by instead of another country? SD will give me an ECU to use while mine is away. Do any of these other places do that (since I drive this car every day)?

SD also offers a high-perf BPV for $50. I saw a posting for another maker's for $140. Is the one from SD good at such a low price?

One other thing (not to beat a dead horse here): I assume I should get a better exhaust system than stock. I've been reading the posts, and some say that you can just swap out the downpipe and cat to a better set-up, but leave the rest of the stock exhaust alone. Is that a wise thing to do if all I'm doing is just looking for some increased power? I'm not looking to race the car. What is the size of the exhaust from cat-back, so I know what size reducer to get if I go larger for the downpipe and cat? I have an automatic, if it matters. Where's a good place to go to get the downpipe and cat? I also assume I should get a 2.5" as opposed to a 3"?

Thanks for your help.
