I've been highly impressed with them, given the $57 price per tire that I paid for 205/55VR15. The dry grip is fantastic, they have low noise in hard cornering, and wet grip is adequate, though nothing exceptional. Steering feel and response is really excellent though.

For $57 though, there are some downsides. In this tire, it's the road noise, which is pretty high, and much worse in heavy rain/standing water, where the tires really growl at highway speeds. The ride also is nothing to write home about.

On the other hand, treadwear is quite high at 320, and by the looks of it, I will probably get at least 30k miles out of them, which I think is outstanding giving my driving habits.

Still, knowing what I know, I'd spend the extra $15-20 per tire and get the Kumho 712 instead. It's reported to be all that the 711 is (er, well that is my extrapolation), without the negatives of noise, ride, and mediocre wet performance.

Another tire that gets pretty good ratings is the Dunlop SP5000. Though it's an all season, people still seem to think it's great. Might try a set of these. I had it's predecessor, the SP4000, and it was awesome, but at the time, expensive and very short lived.

If you don't get a lot of rain, and noise/ride isn't too much an issue, I think the 711 is a great value.
