I don't have any direct knowledge, but Zeke uses an ECU he got from Sweden through Karl , I think its a TAQ.
Other people on the board have Maptune, some use Chip Center, others recently are using SQR.
Most of these ECUs cost less than Abbott's, produce the same or more power and retain the
stock base boost.
As to your question about exhaust and intake. I use a K&N drop-in filter. I have modified the
air box to allow more air to the filter as suggested by Karl. I also have a Saber SS cat-back
system with stock down pipe and cat.
Many would advise you to get a 3" down -pipe from the turbo to a high-flow cat.
There is a debate on what to do after the cat, some go with 3" all the way back, some use
a stock exhaust after the cat. After a few feet of pipe and the cat the exhaust gases cool
and contract so the need for a large pipe diminishes.
Unless you are planing to do long sustained WOT runs (up a mountain at full boost) I
would think your present exhaust system would be OK. It would be better to use a
3" down pipe and then your Saber system. You would enjoy less turbo lag, and not
have to worry about high exhaust gas temperatures.
Have fun,
jj
