If your 96 is like my 88 with the remote pressurized resivoir. I got a plastic "t" fitting, a short piece of hose, 3 hose clamps, and a tire valve stem and put it in the small line between the radiator and the resivoir. This let me pressurize the system with the car off (and cool). Tests the radiator cap too! In my case it was a small crack on the bottom of the resivor, The leak would come and go as I pressed on the "right" spot in the resivor. Looking inside there was a little crud built up right there, thats what made it leak sometimes and not others I guess.
