ive had a few heads off before but only single cams. read the haynes manual a few times to get a feel for the work and if u think its vialble them go for it.
though u shold get the head checked for worping as this may be the cause of the gasket letting go. is the car still going good indication of just the gasket or has it stopped altogeather which could have caused more damage and or be the head or block.
well what ever u go for check the head bolts are tightened correctly after the job has been done so the gastet doesnt go again.
above all have fun with it if u do it and except that u will run into things u dont know but u can always ask here
