A 100KMi on a 9000 is just fair milage. With leaded gas 30 years ago the lead oxide and other forms of lead would act as an abrasive. Today we got the lead out and the good cars will last many years. The Saab 4 cyl engine is about the most bullet proof (hope I'm not jinxing yours) motors on the road. Keep NGK spark plugs in it, do oil AND filter at recommended times, and it will pay you back with reliability. From your post on up the BB about the fan it looks as if the dealer is acting like a Detroit Iron dealer and not a Saab store. This is one of the safest cars to protect you in an accident. They will crumple around you and sacrifice the car to protect you. Used to be one of the few that were safe, but many today do better also. Saab, Volvo, & Benz set the standards. Congrats and welcome to Saabs. I have two 93 9000's and a 97 900S all hatchbacks, been driving them since 74 with a 99 hatchback. Fell in love with them. Toyo Van and Chevy Van for family trips but no more. Course 15 yr old daughter wants new style bug. Oh, well. This is a good family of minority car owners.
