I've done it several times in my car. No time was any harder than any other, so I guess I got lucky and the last person who did it used anti-sieze (most sensors come with that goop on the threads anyhow). Some people like to cut off the wires and use a big socket, but myself, I have had great success with a big crescent wrench. I found the two hardest parts of the job are figuring out where the thing is, and then figuring which direction to place the wrench on so you can get enough leverage. I would say even if you have never done it, the actual removal replacement would take 30 minutes tops. If you are using the real deal instead of a generic, it will be faster since you won't have any wires to cut/strip/solder/crimp/etc. But, you'll pay almost three times as much money for the real deal.
Now that I have no A/C compressor to worry about, it will be a total breeze, as I can look right down at the thing and have all the access in the world!
