The 9Ks are fitted with a fuel system that is up to the job the engine is designed for. Altering the fuel pressure will do no good at all unless you have modified the engine's appetite for air so that the standard fuel system will no longer deliver enough fuel.n In fact, you may well end up with poor fuel economy, poor running and fouled plugs as a result of running too rich. The only exception is a report I've heard of a 2.0 non-turbo automatic responding well to the addition of a rising-rate FPR, but a RRFPR is a very different kettle of fish.
I don't know whether the 900 FPR will fit, but I know early 9000s (up to '87 or so?) used a different type of FPR to the later ones and wouldn't be surprised if the classic 900 used the older type too.
