I replaced these this winter on my '87 turbo.
Buy the mounts from one of the site sponsors (http://www.thesaabsite.com or eeuroparts.com - you'll save money there over dealer prices)
To do the job you'll need standard metric sockets and wrenches, a deep socket @ 19mm, and two jacks (floor and spare tire would be sufficient) or jackstands and a floor jack.
procedure follows:
(1) park car on level surface, loosen passenger side lug nuts, jack up passenger side, support w/floor jack or jackstand behind passenger wheel.
(2) remove passenger side wheel, remove passenger side fender liner, raise hood
(3) I think the AC and Serpentine belts need to be removed next
(4) put a board under the oil pan and lift it up (not too fast or too far) with the spare tire jack - be careful oil pans are fragile. The engine will move more if you remove the top otor mount arm (dogbone)
(5) front motor mount is accessible to the right (if you're looking at the belts) of the engine. Top nut is 19mm nuts holding bottom of mount on are ~15mm-13mm (don't remember exact sizes)
(6) rear motor mount is behind engine near the oil pan. Easiest way to remove it is to slide underneat the car and loosen the arm coming down from the engine that's attached to the top of that mount. Top nut is again 19mm. Here especially you will need the deep socket (I rounded mine off and then spent and hour with the hacksaw)
(7) getting the mounts out once they're unbolted can be difficult but I did it on a snowy 20 F day - I'm sure it will be easier when the weather is warmer - be careful when lifting the engine from the bottom... You may want to wait with that until the mounts are unbolted.
email with further questions.
